🔋 About the Role
You'll sit at the center of how the company tracks and manages its money: what they're spending, what they're earning, and what they're owed. This is a hands-on role: you'll build the reporting that shows where the business stands, own day-to-day collections and spend management, and support quarterly close. You'll be a one-person finance team reporting directly to leadership, bringing ideas to the table and following through on them without needing to be chased.
💻 What You'll Do
- Run monthly/quarterly expense analysis, where they're spending, and why
- Build and maintain ARR reporting and dashboards
- Own invoicing and collections (AR & AP)
- Manage spend end-to-end through the spend management platform
- Design and optimize company-wide spend policy
- Track churn and identify trends
- Support quarterly book close with the external accountant
🛠️ Must-Haves
- 1–2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or FP&A
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills: financial modeling, complex formulas
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks
- A track record of both designing a process and running it
- A strong sense of ownership: when you commit to something, it gets done, without follow-up needed
- Proactive, responsive communicator: you keep people in the loop without being asked
- Sharp attention to detail; you catch issues before they become problems
📄 Nice-to-Haves
- Startup experience
- Experience with Ramp or similar spend management software
- Experience with CPQ software
