We are seeking a motivated Technical Sales Engineer (“TSE”) to join our Sales Team and develop through Vista’s Sales Training & Mentorship Program.

What does the Sales Training & Mentorship Program offer?
The Sales Training and Mentorship Program is a two-tiered training curriculum designed to enhance the skills of both new and seasoned sales professionals aiming to elevate their careers. As a TSE, you will work closely with experienced sales and industry professionals to learn, understand, and apply our sales techniques and product knowledge.
Youāll undergo comprehensive 90-day Sales Training with check-ins at 30, 60 and 90 days. Note that successful candidates will transition into the second stage: the Sales Mentorship Program, which provides 1-on-1 personal development and collaboration with experienced sales professionals.
What does the Sales Training & Mentorship Program involve?
During the first 12 to 18 months, the TSE actively participates in the Sales Training and Mentorship Program, designed to build the necessary skills and expertise needed to thrive at Vista Solutions. This program consists of on-the-job experience and a variety of robust training and networking opportunities outlined below.
Mentorship:
Ā· Youāll report directly to the Director of Sales, an exciting opportunity to learn from a key stakeholder in the Company;
Ā· Youāll work closely with our experienced sales team members to further your personal and professional development then ultimately your success;
Ā· Collaborate with the sales team to share insights, strategies and best practices;
Ā· Collaborate with other departments to learn the operations, ensure a seamless sales process, and ensure client satisfaction; and
Lead Generation:
Ā· Generate leads and sales opportunities through research, prospecting, networking, and strategic outreach (both cold and warm outreach via phone, email, etc.) with new and existing clients;
Ā· Attend trade shows, promotional and recruiting events.
Qualification and Sales Process:
Ā· Qualify leads by evaluating potential needs and aligning them with Vistaās solutions and services;
Ā· Coordinate and schedule client meetings according to engagement practices and quotas, and prepare and deliver company presentations on-site, with frequent travel to client locations being an essential part of the role;
Ā· Prepare and deliver customized proposals with support from Engineering teams;
Ā· Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and project scope with clients and vendors;
Ā· Present solutions to clients and coordinate hand-offs to the internal Project Management team ensuring successful project delivery;
CRM Management:
Ā· Track leads, outreach activity, opportunities, and proposals using NetSuite ERP/CRM systems as the primary tool for managing and tracking the selling process, ensuring information entered is up to date for all action taken.
Reporting:
Ā· Provide regular updates on sales activities, opportunities and pipeline status to the Director of Sales or other stakeholders as required.
What You Bring:
- Engineering degree (Mechatronic, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer or other related), or a Business degree with a keen interest in technical sales;
- One (1) to Two (2) years of relevant work experience in automation or other related industries;
Ā· Experience in cold calling/outreach, opportunity generation or relevant sales experience;
- Keen interest or knowledge in machine vision systems, PLC, electronics, robot programming, computer programming and automation;
Ā· Strategic thinker with a growth mindset and the ability to problem solve;
Ā· Motivated self-starter who thrives individually and in a team environment;
Ā· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and polished presentation skills with the ability to build relationships with various stakeholders and clients;
Ā· Strong intellectual curiosity and attention to detail;
Ā· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities;
Ā· Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software;
Ā· A strong existing network or client-base in industrial automation is considered an asset;
Ā· A valid G Class driverās license and reliable vehicle, as the ability to travel with their own vehicle to the clientsā locations is a significant and inherent component of the job;
Ā· Ability to travel regionally and internationally frequently, including crossing the US/Canada border on short notice as required.
o As such, candidates must, at the time of hire, hold valid authorization to travel to the U.S. for business purposes (e.g., B-1 visa or equivalent) and must meet the eligibility requirements of the E-2 Treaty Employee Visa classification; and
Ā· Police clearance upon hire.
