The Job
As a Technical Counter Sales Representative, you're the first person our customers see and talk to. They come in with a problem - a hose that burst, a fitting that won't seal, a machine that's down - and you help them find the right part. You'll also build hydraulic and pneumatic hose assemblies yourself, on our equipment, with your hands.
You don't need experience and you don't need a technical diploma. If you're motivated, reliable, good with your hands and you like dealing with people, we'll teach you the rest - starting on your first day and continuing for as long as you're here.

What You'll Do
At the counter
- Greet customers and make sure they feel looked after.
- Listen to what they need and help them find the right product or solution.
- Answer calls and emails, and get the details right.
- Follow up so the customer always knows where their order stands.
- Build hydraulic and pneumatic hose assemblies using our tools and equipment - training provided.
- Pick, pack and ship customer orders and branch transfers.
- Keep the shelves stocked, the displays tidy and the store looking sharp.
- Take part in the product and technical training we and our suppliers offer.
- Pass clear, complete information on to Purchasing, Credit and Technical Services.
- Pitch in on other tasks as they come up.
In the warehouse
Counter sales and the warehouse work side by side, so you'll help out back too:
- Follow the safety rules for the warehouse and any equipment you operate.
- Receive incoming orders and transfers, check them against the paperwork, and flag anything that doesn't match.
- Keep an eye on transfers in transit and report anything that looks off.
- Pack goods properly so they arrive in one piece.
- Enter data and keep our inventory records accurate.
- Help keep the warehouse organized - shelving, labelling and cleaning.
- Take part in inventory counts and audits.
What the Work Is Like
Physical requirements
- You'll be on your feet and moving for a good part of the day.
- You'll need to lift up to 40 lb.
What We're Looking For

- Good with your hands and comfortable using tools and building things.
- A genuine interest in customers - you like helping people solve problems.
Qualifications
Attitude matters more to us than a résumé. Here's what's essential:
- You enjoy dealing with people and working as part of a team.
- You're dependable, positive, and you finish what you start.
- You can communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.
- You're organized, notice the details, and can work on your own when you need to.
Nice to have, but not required:
- Any mechanical or technical background, or an interest in hydraulics and pneumatics - we train on site.
- Basic comfort with computers and Microsoft Office.
- Any past job in sales, retail or customer service.
