Full job description
Wake Tidy is a commercial cleaning company based in Kelowna. We clean restaurants, bars, offices, and medical clinics across the Okanagan, mostly at night after they close.
We’re hiring an Evening Medical Clinic Cleaner to join our crew in Penticton.
You’ll clean a busy medical clinic in downtown Penticton after hours. It’s a quieter site where attention to detail matters. The doctors, staff, and patients who use the space count on it being properly cleaned and disinfected.
The basics
Type: Part-time employee
Schedule: 2 cleans a week:
Tuesday evening, any time after 5:30 pm
Friday after 5:30 pm, or any time Saturday or Sunday (your choice)
Location: Penticton
Start: Mid-November
Why work with us
I’m Brandon, the owner. I started cleaning restaurants at 19, and I built my first cleaning company into a national operation that ran more than 70,000 nightly cleans. I started Wake Tidy to do it again, and to do it better.
What that means for you:
Real training, paid. You don’t need cleaning experience. We’ll teach you how we do things and why, and you’re paid while you learn.
Top-of-the-line equipment and supplies, provided. You won’t bring your own or make do with worn-out gear. We supply professional equipment and all the cleaning products.
A flexible schedule. Tuesday evening is set. The second clean can be Friday evening or any time on the weekend, so it fits around your life.
Clear expectations. Every site has a checklist, so you always know what “done” looks like. We do walkthroughs together so you get feedback before anyone complains.
Room to grow. We’re growing fast in Penticton and across the Okanagan. People who show up and do good work get more hours and move into lead roles.
A direct line to the owner. If something’s off, you can talk to me.
What you’ll be doing
Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces in exam rooms, waiting areas, and offices (door handles, counters, light switches, chairs)
Clean and restock washrooms and the staff kitchen
Sweep and mop all hard floors
Empty garbage and recycling, and follow clinic rules for handling sensitive waste
Follow site-specific procedures for exam and treatment rooms
Lock up and arm the alarm correctly, and report anything unusual
What we’re looking for
Available Tuesday evenings, plus Friday evenings or weekends
Valid driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle
Willing to complete a criminal record check. You’ll have keys and alarm codes for the clinic.
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Reliable. If you say you’ll be there, you’re there. This matters more to us than experience.
Careful and detail-oriented. You follow procedures exactly.
Respectful of privacy. Medical clinics have confidential files and patient information, and what you see at work stays at work.
Training you’ll get
Workplace safety and WHMIS
Washroom and disinfection procedures
Hard floor care
Safe use and care of professional equipment
Building security, keys, and alarm procedures
Optional: floor stripping and waxing, if you want to learn it. It’s a skilled trade that leads to more hours and higher-paying project work.
How to apply
Apply through Indeed and answer the short screening questions. A resume helps but isn’t required. If you don’t have one, tell us a bit about your past work in the cover letter box.
We review applications every few days and call good fits for a short phone chat, followed by a walkthrough of the site.
Pay: $21.00-$29.00 per hour
Benefits:
Casual dress
Company events
Flexible schedule
On-site parking
Paid time off
