Position Summary
Wall Colmonoy Canada is seeking a hands-on Warehouse & Blending Associate to support our Edmonton operation. This position performs general warehouse duties while also assisting with the weighing, blending, packaging and handling of metal powders and other products used in thermal spray and hardfacing applications.
This is a practical, hands-on position in a small-team environment where employees are expected to work safely, accurately and help wherever needed.
Key Responsibilities- Weigh, measure and blend metal powders according to established formulas, work instructions and customer requirements.
- Package, label and prepare finished products for inventory or shipment.
- Receive incoming materials and verify quantities and condition.
- Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Maintain accurate product, lot and inventory records.
- Move and organize materials throughout the warehouse.
- Operate scales, blending equipment, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as required.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse and blending area.
- Follow required safety procedures, PPE requirements, SDS/WHMIS instructions and product-handling practices.
- Assist with inventory counts and general warehouse activities.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the Edmonton operation.
Qualifications- Previous warehouse, manufacturing, production or material-handling experience preferred.
- Comfortable working with powders, chemicals and industrial materials while following required safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when weighing, blending, labeling and recording materials.
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of a warehouse position, including lifting and moving containers and materials.
- Dependable, organized and able to work effectively with limited supervision.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Forklift experience and WHMIS/TDG training are assets.
Work Environment
This position involves regular handling of and potential exposure to nickel and nickel-containing materials. Employees must be able to safely perform the essential duties of the position, including following all required safety procedures and wearing required personal protective equipment.
