Machine Repair Technician Class 2
Position type: Full-Time, Hourly
Pay Range: $44.14 per hour
Location: Niagara Falls, Ontario

Machine Repair Technician Class 2 is responsible for repairing, adjusting, servicing, overhauling, and installing plant machinery and equipment. You will install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical systems across the facility.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and material-handling equipment
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and identify potential maintenance issues
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairs
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and equipment specifications
- Perform alignment, leveling, rigging, and equipment installation as required
- Dismantle, repair, replace, and reassemble mechanical components
- Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring equipment, and other maintenance equipment
- Support equipment shutdowns, overhauls, and planned maintenance activities
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all site-specific safety protocols
- Rotate weekly after-hours on-call and carry a pager
To be successful in this position, you must:
- Hold a Mechanical Trade Certificate
- Have 3+ years of manufacturing or heavy industrial experience
- Supply your own tools
- Carry out work independently and work well in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills with welding
- Show strong commitment to safety and follow all procedures
