ABOUT THE ROLE
The Data Management Architect is the technical lead behind WBM's growing Data Management Services practice. You'll work with clients to design secure, scalable data solutions using Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure technologies while helping organizations make better, data-driven decisions

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Data Governance
- Design and implement data governance frameworks using Microsoft Purview.
- Develop and maintain Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Data Lifecycle Management strategies.
- Ensure customer data and unstructured content are governed and protected appropriately within Microsoft 365.
- Establish governance controls, guardrails, and security frameworks that support responsible AI adoption.
Data Engineering
- Design end-to-end data architectures across Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, and related technologies.
- Build and maintain data pipelines that ingest, transform, and publish data from various business systems.
- Create scalable data models and datasets that support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
- Consult with customers to identify opportunities for improved data utilization and data-driven decision making.
Data Analytics
- Lead the development and optimization of Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions.
- Modernize and re-engineer existing reporting environments to leverage centralized datasets and improved governance practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, key business metrics, and analytical roadmaps.
- Help customers transform raw data into actionable business insights.
Client Consulting & Success
- Facilitate discovery workshops, governance reviews, and strategic planning sessions with client stakeholders.
- Translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions and roadmaps.
- Support customer onboarding, adoption, and long-term success within WBM's Data Management Services practice.
- Contribute to the growth and evolution of WBM's data services offerings.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Required
- Experience with Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure Data platforms.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, compliance, and data architecture.
- Experience designing end-to-end data solutions from ingestion through analytics.
- Customer-facing consulting and stakeholder engagement experience.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience with managed services or recurring support models.
- Knowledge of SQL, DAX, Power Query, Python, or PySpark.
- Experience with dimensional modelling and analytics solutions.
- Familiarity with AI, machine learning, and modern data platforms.
