Role Description The Business Development Partner is a contract, on-site role based in Ottawa, ON, focused on growing and strengthening We Got You Home Advisory’s presence in local and regional markets. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and qualifying prospective clients and partners, building and maintaining relationships with newcomers, families, organizations, and referral networks, and presenting the firm’s services in a clear and compelling manner. The role involves coordinating and attending in-person meetings and community events, supporting the development of local outreach initiatives, and providing feedback that helps refine service offerings. The Business Development Partner will collaborate closely with advisory and operations teams to ensure a consistent client experience, track business development activities, and contribute to short- and medium-term growth targets.
Qualifications
- Business development, sales, or partnership experience, including prospecting, lead nurturing, and relationship management.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain services clearly to diverse audiences in person.
- Experience working with newcomers, families, or community organizations; knowledge of settlement, relocation, or housing advisory is an asset.
- Ability to work on-site in Ottawa, ON, manage time effectively, and operate independently while coordinating with a remote and local team.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French and/or Arabic is highly beneficial for serving a multilingual client base.
- Comfort using basic productivity tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, CRM or contact tracking tools) to document and follow up on outreach activities.
- Demonstrated professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and a client-focused mindset aligned with a human and personalized advisory approach.
- Post-secondary education in business, communications, social sciences, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
