Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Insurance Agent role based in Waterdown, ON. The Insurance Agent is responsible for assessing clients’ insurance needs, presenting suitable coverage options, and explaining policy features in a clear and accessible way. Daily activities include meeting with clients in person or by phone, preparing quotes, processing applications, and maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and company standards. The role involves managing renewals, handling policy changes, responding to inquiries, and following up on leads to grow a personal portfolio of clients. Insurance Agents collaborate with internal underwriting and administrative teams to ensure smooth policy setup, efficient issue resolution, and consistent client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Insurance Sales to prospect, consult, and close coverage solutions that align with client needs.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Insurance and Insurance Brokerage operations, including policy structures and industry best practices.
- Candidates should possess foundational understanding of Finance to explain premiums, deductibles, and coverage impacts on client budgets.
- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills to build trust, respond to inquiries, and manage ongoing client relationships.
- Relevant provincial insurance licensing (or eligibility to obtain) is required.
- Previous experience in personal or commercial lines insurance is an asset.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills are beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site, manage time effectively, and use common office and CRM software tools is preferred.
