Inventory Control Technician

Reporting to the Lead Buyer/Warehouse Lead, the successful candidate provides high quality service and support to the Purchasing & Warehouse Department. The Inventory Control Technician will work locally on a 5-2, 4-3, 9 hour days schedule.

About the Candidate:
- Minimum 5 years experience in inventory control and warehouse required
- Experience in Inventory Control processes and attention to detail is required
- Knowledge of Mining Equipment and Parts
- Experience in Purchasing for mining operations and / or mine Suppliers is an asset
- Post-secondary education in the Purchasing or Warehouse field is an asset
- Excellent problem solving, communication and decision-making skills required
- Ability to effectively deal with high pressure environments and tight deadlines
- Strong computer system proficiency with Purchasing software and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel spreadsheets
- Experience in operating equipment, Forklifts and Stackers.

- High level of organizational skills
About the Role:
The Inventory Control Technician is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels across all warehouse locations through receiving, stock management, annual physical counts, discrepancy resolution, and inventory reporting. Ensures compliance with safety standards while supporting warehouse operations, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and providing operational assistance as needed.
- Complies with all safety requirements and observes all company policies and procedures.
- Receives “New” Items and gives all new items bin locations according to warehouse layout.
- Perform physical inventory counting of all items in all warehouses annually
- Provide Lead Buyer/Warehouse Lead with count summary and accuracy reports
- Check daily stock outs and keep warehouses in balance
- Day to Day processing of Inventory requirements for all warehouses
- Communicating with various departments regarding inventory control
- Assisting with internal and external client and Supplier base requests and enquiries
- Investigating inventory discrepancies and invoice problems when required
- Warehouse systems & processes support as needed
- Provide support & guidance to warehouse techs as required
- Vacation coverage for other positions when required
- Operate all warehouse equipment as needed
- Housekeeping as required
- Other duties as requested
