The Housekeeper is a front line professional that welcomes guests by maintaining the highest level of cleanliness in the guest rooms and public areas. The Housekeeper will represent the hotel through excellence in service and cleanliness. The Housekeeper is required to maintain a flexible schedule and be available to work shift work, including weekends and holidays.
Who You Are & What You Bring
- Sweep, mop, wash, wax and polish floors
- Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
- Make beds, change sheets and distribute clean towels and toiletries
- Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
- Clean and disinfect public areas such as changing rooms, showers
- Pick up debris and empty trash containers
- Wash windows, walls and ceilings
Primary Key Responsibilities
- No formal education required, training provided
- Previous experience in a similar role would be an asset
- Must be able to communicate well in English – verbal and written
- Possess physical stamina and be able to manage time well
- Ability to work shift work, including weekends and holidays
- Security clearance required upon offer of employment
- Possess sensational customer service philosophy
- Highly organized, results-oriented and ability to work in a multi-functional team environment
