About W(A)
The world is rapidly changing and getting increasingly weird.
At Wierd(A)dvisory, we believe that the nature of advice and expertise is changing and that being strategic calls for more original problem-solving. That's why we prioritize creating an environment where exceptional individuals with diverse perspectives, thinking, and capabilities can thrive and do their best work.
We are currently in search of a strategy advisor with depth in healthcare and life sciences to join our team as a Manager, where they will engage with and provide strategic guidance to our key clients.
We're a boutique consultancy that partners with senior executives at some of the world's most respected companies and promising disruptors, guiding them through unique challenges arising from complex internal and external dynamics. They choose to engage with us because of our demonstrated willingness to approach longstanding challenges in new ways and our commitment to exceptional quality in everything we do.
Craftsmanship is one of our core values and we believe in doing things very differently from what we see in big box consulting firms.
The Role
As a Strategy Manager, you will play a prominent role in leading critical workstreams and projects for marquee clients in life sciences and healthcare.
You demonstrate a high level of proficiency in idea generation, problem identification, fact-finding, and strategic planning, including guiding the initial design phases of emerging initiatives and ensuring the thorough execution of projects. Your strategic contributions extend to translating client requirements into the appropriate scope, building frameworks, creating project outputs (...not merely delegating), and collaborating closely with cross-functional client teams to maintain alignment throughout project progression.
An essential aspect of this role involves engaging directly with senior executives, demonstrating an immediate understanding in conversations, swiftly translating needs into actionable solutions, and building credibility around recommendations to ensure they are well-received by stakeholders.
You will actively collaborate with company leadership to contribute to the development of key solutions and recommendations, providing valuable insights to address challenges. Your ability to seek input thoughtfully shows in how you approach collaboration and reverse mentorship, where your strengths come to the forefront. Moreover, you'll take ownership of refining and finalizing deliverables, ensuring they meet the highest standards.

🫶 A small and impactful part of our business mix involves taking on projects connected to causes, engaging in important system-level conversations pro bono, and giving back
Required Qualifications
You are legally able to work in Canada (Citizen, permanent resident, work permit holder).
You're intellectually curious - whether that's shown through a bachelor's degree, graduate work in STEM, business, design, humanities, or other fields, or through self-directed learning. We care more about how you think and what you've built than where you studied.
You bring 5-10 years of experience, typically from management consulting, strategy roles, industry, or transformation work. But what really matters is that you've done interesting things connected to health - maybe you've led strategic projects, started something of your own, or helped transform how organizations work.
Facilitation skills are an asset - you know how to read a room, guide conversations, and move groups toward outcomes. You've proven this through running workshops, leading collaborative sessions, and orchestrating the right mix of people to tackle complex challenges.
You're comfortable with the tools of our trade - Microsoft Office suite (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel) is essential, and experience with modern collaboration tools is valuable.
A valid passport and openness to occasional travel across the GTA, North America, and Europe is necessary.
The Recruitment Process
Our process involves a 30-45 min virtual interview, a 60-min virtual panel interview, and a final, face-to-face interview in Toronto. References will be contacted before an offer. Expect clear and timely communication throughout.
How to Apply
Ready to be part of something exceptional? Let’s talk.
Skip the ‘traditional’ cover letter. Build 1 infographic slide to tell us a bit about who you are, what makes you “good-weird”, what kind of problems you’re interested in, and something meaningful you've helped solve.
Feel free to be creative with the format - we care more about substance and clarity of thinking than polish. And yes, we genuinely love a well-placed emoji. 😊
