Role Description The Director of Operations is a full-time, on-site role based in Edmonton, AB, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations across multiple restaurant locations. This position manages operational performance, ensures adherence to brand standards, and drives efficiency in areas such as staffing, inventory, food safety, and guest service. The Director of Operations will lead and develop management teams, set clear performance expectations, and provide coaching and support to achieve operational and financial targets. Responsibilities include monitoring KPIs, analyzing sales and cost trends, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, and implementing process improvements to enhance profitability and guest satisfaction. The role also involves collaborating with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, supporting new store openings, and maintaining a safe, compliant, and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated Operations Management experience in multi-unit hospitality, restaurant, or retail environments.
- Strong Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret financial reports, performance metrics, and operational data.
- Proven Team Management capabilities, including coaching, performance management, and leadership development.
- Experience with Budgeting, cost control, and resource planning to achieve financial targets.
- Commitment to high-quality Customer Service with a focus on guest satisfaction and issue resolution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels.
- Solid understanding of food safety, workplace safety, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Ability to work on-site in Edmonton, AB, with flexibility to visit multiple locations and support extended or weekend hours as needed.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field is an asset; equivalent leadership experience will be considered.
- Experience in franchise or fast-casual restaurant operations is an advantage.
