POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Digital and Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for driving engagement of the Winnipeg brand through creative video, photography, and other multimedia content. The manager plays a key role in advancing Winnipeg Economic Development and Tourism’s corporate strategy to grow the Winnipeg economy through business investment, events, talent attraction and visitation. The manager is a creative and proficient content creator who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS
- Drive engagement through producing high-quality video and creative content.
- Develop and execute a content strategy for video and creative content across all platforms, including social media, digital channels, and events.
- Oversee the end-to-end video production process with external vendors, including concept and script development, pre-production planning, shooting, editing, and post-production. Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with the organization’s objectives.
- Provide a visual and creative lens to content development and advocate for a video-focused approach to all content production.
- Edit and post-produce video content, including sound mixing and colour correction.
- Serve as the organization’s ‘in-house’ photographer, capturing assets from key organization events as well as industry photography used to highlight our agency’s work locally and promote Winnipeg.
- Manage and maintain an archive of all video and photo content.
- Provide creative direction on all video projects with internal teams and ensure videos align with corporate goals, maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring all content meet brand guidelines, technical specifications and industry best practices
- Provide social media content and management support.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices and apply this knowledge to video production and creative projects.
- Work responsibly in accordance with the Corporation’s Policy Playbook.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Cloud apps, Monday.com, Sprout and various social media platforms, including YouTube, Vimeo, Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok.
- Extensive experience in video production (shooting, editing, exporting, posting and optimization).
- Possess superior photography and photo editing skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Degree or diploma in Video Production or Marketing
- Three or more years visual storytelling experience.
- Experience or certifications in Adobe Creative Cloud products
- Knowledge of web development and content management tools are an asset.
- Experience planning and managing digital advertising campaigns is an asse
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Full-time, in-office position with standard business hours but often required to be on-site at events, shoots and other work-related functions.
- Some evening or weekend availability are necessary to support events, deadlines, or travel schedules.
- Access to a reliable vehicle is required for work-related travel.
- Works well in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects simultaneously.
