JOB OVERVIEW
Great plant performance starts with people who have the knowledge and confidence to do their best work. As a Learning and Development Partner, you’ll help build that capability across our Belleville facility by creating and coordinating training that supports employee growth, operational excellence, and a safe, high-performing workplace. You’ll work across the plant to turn learning needs into practical, effective training experiences that make a difference.
HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Develop, update, and maintain training materials and learning content to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with business needs.
- Coordinate onboarding, compliance, and role-based training programs across plant departments.
- Track employee training completion, qualifications, certifications, and development progress to support workforce readiness.
- Maintain training databases, records, and documentation to ensure data integrity and audit readiness.
- Review training programs and processes to identify gaps, improve effectiveness, and support continuous improvement.
- Partner with Operations, Quality, Environmental Health & Safety, Human Resources, and plant leadership to identify training needs and support organizational priorities.
- Monitor and communicate training metrics, including completion rates, compliance status, upcoming requirements, and workforce development progress.
- Support employee development, talent acquisition, and other HR and workforce initiatives that help strengthen capability across the plant.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma with relevant experience in training coordination, Human Resources, Learning & Development, or a related field.
- Experience developing, coordinating, or administering training programs and maintaining training records.
- Strong planning, organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with employees, leadership, and cross-functional partners.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
- Knowledge of learning or training management systems, such as Alchemy.
- Experience supporting regulatory compliance and audit readiness.
- Experience supporting employee development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with food safety, quality, environmental health and safety, or operational training programs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Primarily office-based within our Belleville manufacturing facility, with occasional time on the production floor to facilitate training, communicate with employees, and support operational needs.
- Regular interaction with employees, supervisors, managers, plant leadership, and cross-functional teams.
- Frequent use of computers, learning management systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Local and occasional business travel of less than 10% may be required.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Primarily standard business hours, with flexibility required to support various plant shifts, operational schedules, training events, and other business needs.
Salary Range: $81,120 - $101,400
