The Role
These future opportunities will support the team with our large-scale brownfield projects with various tasks, including planning, cost management, materials & fabrication monitoring, administrative and research tasks. We are looking for individuals who have excellent skills in time management, organization, and attention to detail. These individuals are also eager to learn, highly motivated, and interested in working within a team of friendly and dedicated professionals.

Responsibilities
- Support the team with planning, cost management, materials & fabrication monitoring, Project Change Notices (PCNs), Variation Orders (VOs), Project Execution Plans (PEPs), writing reports, and taking meeting minutes
- File documents and send out meeting invites
- Perform additional administrative and research tasks as required
- Ensuring project schedules and client approved budgets are managed and met
- Liaison with third party contractors / vendors in the procurement of materials and equipment
- Completion of “Bill of Materials” for the procurement of material and services
- Adhering to all HSEQ requirements in accordance with Wood procedures and management systems
- Working with discipline Engineers in developing plans and other engineering deliverables
- Assisting with budget development and cost estimates
- Assisting with the development and review of schedules / plans
- Coordinating close out activities
- Assist in transforming preliminary concepts and sketches into engineering designs / drawings
- Development and updating of P&ID’s and Engineering Specifications
- Provide general support to the Wood Management Teams
- Participate in office, job site, and safety meetings
- Work as a collaborative team member in the growth of our services

Expected:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary engineering degree co-op program
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English
- Ability to interact with multidiscipline personnel in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Subcontractors, and Client representatives on project-related topics
- Strong safety orientation and team focused attitude
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Time management skills are necessary to manage the various design projects
- Conducting oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity
- Ability to successfully prioritize, and organize projects, deadlines, and tasks with little supervision in team environments
- Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
