Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder / Fabricator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly, fitting, and MIG welding of commercial truck bodies and related structural components. You will work with shop drawings to build durable, high-quality truck bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG Welding: Perform high-quality Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW / MIG) on steel, aluminum, or stainless steel truck components according to specifications.
- Assembly & Fitting: Position, align, and fit sub-assemblies and structural metal parts together using clamps, jigs, and fixtures prior to final welding.
- Metal Preparation: Cut, grind, join, and prep materials using shop tools (grinders, saws, plasma cutter) to ensure clean, structurally sound finishes.
- Quality Control: Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards, and manufacturing tolerances.
- Safety & Maintenance: Maintain tools and welding equipment; adhere strictly to workplace safety regulations and use proper PPE.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of MIG welding experience.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in commercial vehicle assembly, trailer manufacturing, heavy equipment, or structural metal fabrication is a strong asset.
- Technical Skills: Competency in reading structural blueprints and welding symbols.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Certifications: CWB certification is an asset but not strictly required.
Compensation And Benefits
Starting Rate of $23.00/hr.
