Job Description:
The Technical Design Lead, Identity & Access Management (IAM), is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, integrating, testing, and managing enterprise Identity and Access Management solutions supporting critical organizational systems. The role provides technical leadership throughout the systems development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, fit/gap assessment, solution design, validation, implementation, testing, migration, and ongoing system improvement. The position works closely with product management, security, architecture, development, and technical teams to ensure IAM solutions align with established architectural standards, security protocols, and best practices. Key responsibilities include designing and enhancing identity lifecycle management, RBAC, ABAC, access controls, SSO, MFA, PAM, and other identity-based solutions; integrating IAM platforms with cloud and hybrid environments; and working with APIs, middleware, automation, databases, and enterprise technologies. The role also oversees system performance, troubleshooting, incident resolution, platform updates, risk mitigation, and production migration activities. In addition, the position provides technical guidance, coaches and mentors IT professionals, and supervises technical resources by planning, estimating, prioritizing, and assigning work. The successful candidate will bring strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder-management, and change-management skills, along with advanced knowledge of IAM protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OIDC, LDAP, and SCIM, and proficiency with technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Node.js, PowerShell, SQL, and Oracle. Professional proficiency in both French and English, written and spoken, is required.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM), IT security, or a related area
- Minimum 5 years of experience in solution development, platform engineering, and implementation
- Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise IAM solutions
- Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management, RBAC, ABAC, access certification, and policy enforcement
- In-depth knowledge of IAM protocols and standards including SAML, OAuth, OIDC, LDAP, and SCIM
- Experience integrating IAM solutions across cloud and hybrid environments
- Experience with large-scale, mission-critical IAM platforms, including Saviynt or comparable solutions
- Proficiency in IAM, SSO, MFA, PAM, and other access-management solutions
- Experience with APIs, integrations, middleware, and automation
- Advanced knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Node.js, and PowerShell
- Proficiency in SQL and Oracle database management
- Strong experience with end-to-end solution design, implementation, testing, migration, and system integration
- Strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills
- Proven technical leadership, coaching, mentoring, and team supervision experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, stakeholder-management, and relationship-building skills
- Strong change management skills and adaptability to evolving technologies
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken
