JOB SUMMARY
The Plant / Operations Administrator provides essential support for smooth operations, handling inspection, administrative and logistical support while working collaboratively with other departments in compliance with company processes, procedures and quality standards.
Location: Mississauga, Ontario
Wage: $30.50 per hour (CAD)
Morning Shift
JOB FUNCTIONS
Administrative
- Provide collaborative support to other departments.
- Check emails and respond in a timely manner.
- Provide administrative support for inspection projects.
- Maintain operation logs and files.
- Maintain office supplies inventory.
- Update the workload board as needed.
- Maintain constant communication with Customer Service.
- Greet and receive applicants and visitors.
- Send updates to Customer Service.
- Keep inventory of seed cards.
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
Inspection
- Review the instructions for each project and communicate them to the line leads.
- Review inspection reports and reconcile project activity.
- Close receipts and add all services to the IMS (inspection computer system).
- Provide the line leads with project instructions and seed cards.
- Adhere to GMP guidelines.
- Other duties assigned by the supervisor/manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications required: None.
• Training provided by the company: GMP training during the first week of training; WHMIS and Ontario Worker Health and Safety Awareness training at onboarding.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in a manufacturing, warehouse or logistics environment, preferably food. Hands-on experience entering and reconciling data in a WMS, ERP or inventory system, and supporting production or inspection teams with logs, paperwork and reports.
• Knowledge: Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
• Skills: Attention to detail; communication; flexibility; collaboration; organization; problem solving.
• Abilities: Able to stand for extended periods of time. Able to bend, twist, grab, pull, push and reach. Able to lift up to 40 lb (18 kg) unassisted.
