We’re looking for a Logistics Operations Specialist to join our team and play a meaningful role in the execution of our growing book of business.
This is a hands-on position for someone who takes ownership, communicates with confidence, and understands that in logistics, the details matter.
The RoleAs an Operations Specialist, you will oversee the day-to-day execution of shipments - from securing the right transportation capacity through to final delivery.
You will work directly with customers, carriers, drivers, and our internal team to ensure every shipment is managed with precision and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end execution of freight shipments
- Source, qualify, and coordinate transportation capacity
- Negotiate rates and work with carriers to secure the right equipment
- Maintain clear and professional communication with customers and transportation providers
- Monitor shipments and proactively address delays or exceptions
- Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments
- Manage shipping documentation and operational details
- Identify issues before they become problems and develop practical solutions
- Maintain strong carrier relationships and contribute to the growth of our transportation network
- Ensure every shipment reflects the level of service Wright Freeman aims to provide
What We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for someone who is driven, organized, commercially minded, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, dispatch, or a related field
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple priorities without losing focus
- A solutions-oriented mindset
- Confidence communicating with customers, carriers, and drivers
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of results
- A strong sense of urgency and accountability
Experience is important. Character, work ethic, and the desire to grow are equally important.
