Role Description The Project Manager role at Xublu is a full-time, hybrid position based in Barrie, ON. The Project Manager oversees residential construction projects from initiation to closeout, including planning schedules, coordinating subcontractors, managing budgets, and monitoring progress against milestones. Responsibilities include expediting materials and permits, organizing inspections, resolving onsite issues, and ensuring compliance with building codes and company standards. The role involves close collaboration with site supervisors, trades, vendors, and clients, maintaining clear communication, documentation, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Manager also supports continuous improvement by reviewing project outcomes and recommending enhancements to processes and workflows.
Qualifications
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience with managing permits, approvals, and material delivery timelines.
- Knowledge of inspection processes and building codes, with the ability to coordinate and respond to inspection requirements.
- Logistics management skills for organizing labour, equipment, and materials across multiple residential job sites.
- Previous experience in residential construction or general contracting, ideally in single and multi-unit projects.
- Proficiency with project management and construction-related software tools.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and documentation.
- Ability to work hybrid and full-time with alternating days on-site in Barrie, ON and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Relevant education or certification in construction management, engineering, or a related field is an asset.
