Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Project Manager with 10+ years of experience managing application development projects within the telecom industry. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing large, complex teams and portfolios valued between $2M and $5M, with hands-on expertise in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
The candidate must have strong Telco OSS/BSS application experience and be capable of managing project planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, governance, and delivery using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale telecommunications application development projects.
- Manage project teams of up to 150 team members across multiple technical and functional areas.
- Manage project portfolios ranging from $2M to $5M.
- Apply Agile and Waterfall methodologies based on project requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, financial tracking, and resource planning.
- Perform budget and schedule variance analysis and provide clear explanations to stakeholders.
- Monitor project scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
- Ensure projects follow established PM processes, governance, and delivery standards.
- Work closely with application development, architecture, infrastructure, business, and vendor teams.
- Facilitate project status meetings, steering committee meetings, and stakeholder communications.
- Track project progress and deliverables using JIRA and Confluence.
- Ensure timely identification and escalation of project risks and issues.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of application development initiatives.
- Provide regular executive-level reporting on project health, financials, risks, milestones, and overall delivery.
- Ensure project objectives are delivered within agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality parameters.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 10+ years of Project Management experience.
- Strong experience managing application development projects.
- Mandatory experience in the Telecommunications/Telco industry.
- Strong hands-on experience with OSS/BSS applications.
- Proven ability to manage teams of up to 150 members.
- Experience managing portfolios/projects valued at $2M–$5M.
- Strong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience with project forecasting, budgeting, financial tracking, and variance explanations.
- Strong understanding of project governance and PM processes.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
