Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Police Officer role located in the Regional Municipality of York, ON. Police Officers are responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, conducting patrols, enforcing laws and bylaws, and engaging with community members to promote safety and crime prevention. Day-to-day tasks include conducting preliminary and ongoing criminal investigations, gathering and preserving evidence, preparing reports and documentation, and attending court proceedings as required. The role also involves working collaboratively with other officers, agencies, and community partners, adhering to policies and procedures, and maintaining high ethical and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of law enforcement practices and procedures, including experience or training related to Police and Police Officers.
- Skills in conducting criminal investigations and managing evidence in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to interpret and apply relevant laws, regulations, and bylaws in a fair and impartial manner.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills to build trust with diverse community members.
