In addition, the clinic provides immediate orthopedic surgery referrals through its consulting orthopedic surgeons, supporting comprehensive, coordinated care for patients.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Registered Physiotherapist role based in Welland, ON. The physiotherapist will assess patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver manual therapy interventions such as spinal manipulation, soft-tissue techniques, and therapeutic exercise. Daily responsibilities include documenting clinical findings, monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed, and educating patients on injury prevention and self-management strategies. The role also involves collaborating with orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate clinical records, and contributing to a safe, professional, and patient-centered clinic environment.
Qualifications
- Clinical physiotherapy skills: ability to perform comprehensive assessments, develop evidence-based treatment plans, and apply manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise.
- Manual therapy and specialized techniques: proficiency or strong interest in spinal manipulation, soft-tissue techniques, Active Release Therapy, Graston Technique, and acupuncture (training or certification in any of these is an asset).
- Patient care and communication: strong interpersonal skills, clear patient education abilities, and commitment to providing respectful, inclusive, and individualized care.
- Professional practice: registration and good standing with the appropriate provincial physiotherapy regulatory college, adherence to ethical standards, and excellent documentation skills.
- Collaboration and teamwork: ability to work effectively with orthopedic surgeons and other health professionals, and contribute positively to a multidisciplinary clinic environment.
- Additional assets: experience in orthopedics or sports injuries, continuing education in manual therapy or pain management, and willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.
