About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator / Server Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing Windows and Linux environments, building and hardening servers, supporting VMware infrastructure, and ensuring reliable deployment of enterprise systems in line with organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Build, configure, and deploy Windows and Linux servers in accordance with Standard Operating Environment (SOE) standards.
Install, configure, and manage Active Directory, DNS, and domain services, including domain joins and domain controller promotion.
Administer and support VMware virtualized environments.
Perform system hardening activities using Group Policies (GPOs) and off-domain security controls.
Conduct server patching, firmware upgrades, and ongoing system maintenance activities.
Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement tuning recommendations to optimize system reliability and availability.
Execute testing, validation, and production deployment activities, including go-live and Operational Readiness Evaluation (ORE) processes.
Follow and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for server builds and infrastructure management.
Support infrastructure modernization initiatives, including virtual server migrations and upgrade projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of infrastructure solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with Windows Server and Linux Administration
Hands-on experience with Active Directory (AD), DNS, Domain Services, Domain Join, and Domain Controller Promotion
Experience managing VMware vSphere/ESXi environments
Ability to build and configure systems according to SOE standards
Experience with system hardening, security baselines, and GPO implementation
Strong understanding of patch management, firmware updates, and server lifecycle maintenance
Experience with system monitoring, performance analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
Knowledge of testing, validation, and production deployment processes
Experience working with SOP-driven server build and deployment practices
Preferred Skills
Experience with virtual server migrations and infrastructure transformation projects
Exposure to enterprise monitoring and automation tools
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks
