About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Full-Stack Application Developer to join our Digital Connectivity Innovation team at BRP. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of our consumer-facing applications used by vehicle owners worldwide. Reporting directly to the Digital Lead Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms, as well as the backend systems that support these applications. Your work will directly impact the user experience of our products, ensuring seamless connectivity and functionality across our vehicle ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovative digital solutions, a strong technical foundation, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including UX, product management, and engineering.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in native Android (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift) development, with familiarity in hybrid frameworks such as Kotlin Multiplatform.
- Solid understanding of Bluetooth and WiFi communication protocols.
- Experience working with database technologies like MySQL, MariaDB, and MongoDB.
- Strong knowledge of API protocols including REST and GraphQL.
- Familiarity with cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Excellent communication skills in either French or English, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
- Experience working within a corporate environment or with development service providers is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive attitude with a passion for continuous learning and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the full lifecycle development of mobile applications and backend systems, including interface integration with vehicle hardware APIs and other systems.
- Collaborate with product owners and UX/UI teams to enhance user experience and ensure the application meets customer needs.
- Write and maintain automated tests to guarantee application quality and reliability.
- Engage in discovery, planning, development, deployment, and ongoing support of digital products.
- Implement new features and optimize existing functionalities to improve performance and user satisfaction.
- Contribute to technical documentation and best practices for development and deployment processes.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve our digital offerings.
