As an Anesthesia Assistant, you will work under the direction of licensed anesthesiologists (specialist physicians) and as part of the anesthesia care team to design and implement anesthesia care plans. You will use your knowledge, clinical inquiry, and assessment skills to guide complex clinical decisions in time-sensitive situations.

Required Qualifications:
Successful completion of an accredited post-graduate Anesthesia Assistant Program. Active registration with the applicable regulatory body. Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) membership with Certified Clinical Anesthesia Assistant (CCAA) designation.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Current BLS and ACLS certification. Recent Operating Room and/or Critical Care experience Demonstrated proficiency in: Airway management, Difficult airway support, Anesthesia equipment setup and troubleshooting, Invasive and non-invasive monitoring, Vascular access assistance, Perioperative patient care Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
