Your Opportunity:
We're looking for a Senior Project Manager who is passionate about transforming how family caregivers are recognized, included, and supported across continuing care. In this exciting opportunity, you'll lead a provincially supported initiative focused on embedding caregiver-centered education and practices across Assisted Living Alberta. Working closely with operational leaders, clinicians, frontline teams, corporate partners, and external stakeholders, you'll help shape a culture that recognizes family caregivers as essential partners in care and supports employees who balance work and caregiving responsibilities. This role combines project leadership, change management, stakeholder engagement, education, evaluation, and practice transformation. You'll guide the implementation of organization-wide strategies, facilitate meaningful conversations, support leaders through change, and ensure project deliverables are translated into sustainable operational practices. Using data, evidence-informed approaches, and strong relationship-building skills, you'll help drive improvements that enhance outcomes for residents, caregivers, staff, and the broader continuing care system. Description:
The Senior Project Manager leads the implementation of Assisted Living Alberta's Caregiver-Centered Education and Practices Initiative, supporting the organization's commitment to better identify, include, and support family caregivers as essential partners in care. Reporting to the Director, Clinical Support, this role is responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, evaluation, and sustainability of a provincially funded transformation initiative. The Senior Project Manager works collaboratively with operational leaders, clinicians, communications, analytics, frontline teams, contracted service providers, and external partners to develop and implement project plans, communication strategies, education plans, operational resources, evaluation frameworks, and reporting processes. The role facilitates organizational readiness and change management activities, supports staff and leadership education, identifies opportunities for practice and workflow improvements, and helps embed caregiver-centered approaches into assessment, care planning, communication, and transitions. The Senior Project Manager represents Assisted Living Alberta in meetings with external partners, including academic, healthcare, and government stakeholders, while ensuring project deliverables, timelines, reporting requirements, and funding obligations are achieved. The successful candidate brings strong project management expertise, exceptional communication and facilitation skills, and the ability to translate strategic priorities, stakeholder feedback, and data into practical recommendations that support sustainable change across the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public administration, nursing, or a related field; Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare operations or a comparable complex service environment; Experience working in multi‑site or multi‑service operational environments; Experience leading complex projects or operational initiatives.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Documented professional development in project management, quality improvement, and/or change management; Leadership experience in strategic planning, project management, quality improvement, implementation planning, and project evaluation; Experience managing issues and risks, facilitating multi‑stakeholder groups, and resolving operational or service‑delivery challenges; Demonstrated communication skills through roles requiring preparation of reports, presentations, and engagement with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in continuing care, seniors’ services, or similar community based or long-term care environments; Leadership experience in settings where project resources did not report directly to the position; Experience applying structured problem solving or change management approaches within project or operational roles (Lean, PDSA, DMAIC, Prosci/ADKAR).
