Description:
Reporting to the Site Director, the Manager is a key leadership role that is responsible and accountable for direction, team leadership and organization over the activities of the Departments while supporting the vision, mission, and business plan of Alberta Health Services.
Classification: Unit Manager Union: Exempt Unit and Program: OR, Day Surgery, Endoscopy Primary Location: Leduc Community Hospital Location Details: As Per Location Employee Class: Regular Full Time FTE: 1.00 Posting End Date: 05-OCT-2026 Date Available: 19-OCT-2026 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 4 Shifts per cycle: 20 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, On Call Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $41.16 Maximum Salary: $70.58 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing with a minimum of 5 years of Acute Care clinical experience, and at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role. Requires strong management and leadership skills. Requires advanced decision making, negotiation, communication and conflict management, analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent writing skills require the ability to respond to short timelines. Proven current clinical nursing skills in selected areas of practice and a solid understanding of quality and patient safety. Proven ability to develop and lead teams. A strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is also necessary. Demonstrated advocacy for patient and family-centered care. Experience in Surgical Department setting is required.
