Role Description The Physical Therapist role is a contract, on-site position based in Edmonton, AB. The Physical Therapist will assess patients with work-related, sports, and chronic pain injuries, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-informed therapeutic interventions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting function based assessments, documenting progress, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and communicating ss apprpriate, with employers, insurers, and others to support recovery. The role also involves educating patients on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and self-management strategies, as well as maintaining accurate clinical records and adhering to regulatory and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Physical Therapy, with the ability to apply clinical knowledge to diverse musculoskeletal and occupational health conditions.
- Demonstrated experience in Rehabilitation and Return-to-Work planning, including function-based assessments and goal-oriented treatment programs.
- Proven commitment to high-quality Patient Care, including clear communication, empathy, and collaboration with patients and their support networks.
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Physical Therapist in Alberta, in good standing with the relevant regulatory body.
- Prior experience in occupational health, work injury management, or sports injury rehabilitation is an asset.
- Strong documentation skills, familiarity with electronic health records, and attention to detail in clinical reporting.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and communicate professionally with employers, insurers, and other stakeholders.
