The New Accounts team is responsible for underwriting strategies across the Consumer and Small Business portfolios. The incumbent will support data management, analytics, reporting, and governance activities, while contributing to innovation and change across prospect and customer New Accounts for the Canadian Card portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Conduct case review and data analyses across multiple tables and data sources to identify trends, investigate data issues, and support KRI-related monitoring and analysis.
- Support ongoing governance activities, including contract management, by coordinating information, responding to stakeholder requests, and helping ensure governance requirements are addressed in a timely manner.
- Support monthly MIS reporting, including preparation of management reporting and identification of opportunities to streamline and automate existing reporting processes.
- Incorporate local market dynamics, macroeconomic and industry trends, and new developments to enhance global processes, models, and strategies.
- Collaborate closely with Credit & Fraud Risk (CFR) Centers of Excellence to optimize credit decisions, strengthen credit policies, and enhance risk controls and capabilities.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, mathematics, econometrics, data science, operations research, or a related analytical field.
- Strong programming skills and ability to structure complex analysis leveraging multiple large data sources.
- Thought leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and actionable strategies.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and intellectually curious.
- Strong project-management skills; proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Clear, effective written and oral communications skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence without direct authority.
- Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and have an ownership-mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in an analytical field or prior work experience in risk management, decision science, or data analytics.
