About the Role
We are currently seeking Senior Credit Analysts to support a leading global technology organization in Waterloo, Ontario.
The Senior Credit Analyst will play an important role in assessing business credit risk, analyzing customer financial information, supporting credit-granting decisions, and helping optimize cash collection while minimizing bad-debt exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze customer financial statements and assess creditworthiness and financial risk.
- Monitor account performance and identify potential credit concerns.
- Make informed business/B2B credit-granting recommendations and decisions.
- Review and process customer credit requests and payment-term requests.
- Collaborate with Sales and internal stakeholders to resolve credit-related matters and provide alternative recommendations.
- Ensure credit decisions comply with established policies and service-level expectations.
- Support acquisition integrations and strategic credit-risk initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement in credit-granting, risk-management, and collections processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to credit assessments and decisions.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of B2B/business credit experience.
- Recent hands-on experience analyzing financial statements.
- Strong business credit-granting and credit-risk assessment experience.
- Strong financial analysis and credit evaluation skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within a global software, technology, or high-tech organization.
- Experience with SAP and Salesforce.
- CCP or accounting designation is an asset.
- Change-management or process-improvement experience.
- Bilingual proficiency is an asset.
