Tammy Boyko and Carlan Wilbon with Aplin are excited to partner with our client in recruiting a DevOps Specialist for a 12-month term position based in Winnipeg.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their DevOps career who want to build their skills, work alongside an experienced team, and gain exposure to new and evolving technologies, including AI.
Responsibilities- Support the DevOps team with ongoing software development and enhancement projects
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and development workflows
- Create and maintain scripts to automate tasks and streamline processes
- Support application build, testing, and release processes
- Work with container-based technologies such as Docker
- Assist with setting up and supporting development environments, tools, and projects
- Work alongside software development teams to support applications and releases
- Troubleshoot issues related to builds, pipelines, scripts, and development environments
- Help automate repetitive processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
- Support the introduction of new tools, technologies, and development practices
- Explore and use AI tools to support automation, troubleshooting, development, and day-to-day technical work
- Work as part of an experienced DevOps team while continuing to build your technical skills
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in DevOps, software development, IT, automation, or a related technical field
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
- Experience with scripting, such as PowerShell, Python, or similar
- Understanding of software development concepts and application build processes
- Experience or exposure to container technologies such as Docker
- Familiarity with software development and release processes
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable learning new technologies and technical tools
- Strong communication and ability to work collaboratively with a technical team
- Interest in building a career in DevOps, automation, and emerging technologies
- Recent graduates with relevant education and hands-on technical experience will also be considered
