We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer with 14+ years in IT and 10+ years specializing in data engineering to build, optimize, and maintain high-performance cloud data pipelines. You will lead the integration of enterprise systems into modern cloud architectures while ensuring robust data modeling, governance, and system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and document end-to-end ELT/ETL data pipelines.
- Integrate enterprise data sources including SAP, Salesforce, and Shopify.
- Architect data models and implement data standardization, cleansing, and enrichment practices.
- Manage data security, access controls, and governance best practices.
- Optimize pipeline performance and troubleshoot complex data architectures.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- Experience: 14+ years in IT, including 10+ years in Data Engineering.
- Database & Cloud: Advanced SQL (queries, stored procedures) and hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP; Snowflake preferred).
- Tools & Languages: Proficiency in Python, Java, or C#; hands-on experience with orchestration tools (Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, dbt, Informatica, or Matillion).
- Snowflake Expertise (Preferred): Deep knowledge of RBAC, Virtual Warehouses, Streams, Zero-Copy Clone, Time Travel, and custom file formats.
- Core Competencies: Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
