Operations Analyst – Exceptions & Inventory Management

Position Overview
We are seeking an Operations Analyst – Exceptions & Inventory Management to support day-to-day operations and ensure the timely resolution of order, fulfillment, and inventory-related exceptions.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, IT, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners to investigate operational issues, maintain inventory accuracy, manage exceptions, and support continuous process improvements.
Candidates with Coordinator-level experience in areas such as Inventory Coordination, Warehouse Coordination, Supply Chain Coordination, Logistics Coordination, or similar operations roles are encouraged to apply.
This is a fully onsite position in Downtown Calgary, and daily attendance is required with no exceptions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the end-to-end exception process for orders that fail to ship or encounter fulfillment issues.
- Coordinate with 3PL partners and internal teams including Operations, Customer Care, IT, and Sales to investigate and resolve exceptions.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues within ERP systems, inventory management platforms, and 3PL systems.
- Investigate root causes of operational and inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Initiate and manage issue escalations by opening incident tickets and coordinating with IT teams through resolution.
- Monitor exception trends, operational performance, and key metrics to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage order cancellation requests from dealers and consumers, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of exception scenarios, root causes, and resolutions.
- Manage inventory accuracy and system reconciliation.
- Review inventory classifications and identify discrepancies between physical and system inventory.
- Support inventory-related investigations and reconciliation activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to resolve operational issues.
- Recommend improvements to workflows, system controls, reporting, and operational processes.
- Perform other operational and analytical duties as required.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Previous Coordinator-level experience in inventory, warehouse, supply chain, logistics, or operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate operational issues.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and inventory management platforms.
- Experience working with 3PL or warehouse management systems is an asset.
- Understanding of inventory classification, inventory control, and reconciliation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Demonstrated interest in continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in wireless, telecommunications, supply chain, logistics, or distribution operations.
- Familiarity with incident management and ticketing systems.
- Experience with exception reporting and operational performance metrics.
- Previous experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Experience with inventory reconciliation and discrepancy resolution.
