Title: Network Architect
Duration: 12+ Months
Location: Toronto, ON/4 days onsite
Network Engineer (Meraki, VXLAN Fabric & NFV)
- Design, implement, and support large-scale enterprise network infrastructures with a primary focus on Cisco Meraki campus, branch, and remote site deployments.
- Architect, deploy, and optimize VXLAN-enabled network fabrics to support scalable, resilient, and automated network operations across data centre and campus environments.
- Design and integrate Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) solutions, including virtual firewalls, routers, load balancers, and security services within hybrid and cloud-hosted environments.
- Lead network modernization initiatives involving software-defined networking (SDN), network segmentation, fabric architecture, and policy-based automation.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco Meraki networking technologies, including switching, wireless, SD-WAN, security appliances, and cloud-based management platforms.
- Develop network designs, standards, and implementation roadmaps aligned with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity requirements, and operational objectives.
- Perform capacity planning, performance analysis, and network optimization to ensure highly available and high-performing network services.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, and operations teams to integrate secure networking solutions and maintain compliance with corporate security standards.
- Support the evaluation, testing, and introduction of emerging networking technologies, including cloud networking, SASE, zero-trust architectures, and network automation platforms.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation including high-level and low-level designs, network diagrams, implementation plans, operational procedures, and support runbooks.
- Provide Level 3 engineering support for complex network incidents, root cause analysis, and problem management activities.
- Deliver knowledge transfer, mentoring, and operational handover to internal support and engineering teams.
