Intermediate IT Security Risk Management Specialist.
This is a Hybrid role and client is actively hiring for this position.
Role: Senior Technical Writer
Duration: 12+ months
Location: Ottawa, ON (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $50/hr-$60/hr (Depending upon experience)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer with extensive background in IT infrastructure, software development lifecycles, and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise and strong document authoring skills to translate complex concepts into clear, high-quality documentation, training packages, and online help systems.
Qualifications & Requirements - Education & Experience
- University undergraduate degree or diploma OR 10+ years of progressive IT experience.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience authoring and reviewing complex technical documentation.
- Technical Expertise
- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure concepts and terminology, specifically across networking (LAN/WAN), server architecture, and telephony systems.
- Strong working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and modern software development practices.
- Familiarity and direct experience working with ITSG-33 or equivalent cybersecurity and compliance standards.
- Tools & Software Mastery
- Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio Pro), Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint.
- Demonstrated experience creating online help systems, user guides, and comprehensive training packages.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Disclosure
- We use AI-enabled tools to assist in screening applications based on job-related criteria.
