Claystone Waste Operations Limited is seeking a safety-focused, adaptable, and reliable Administrative Assistant/Receptionist, to join our team based out of the Administration Office in Ryley.
Position Summary:
The Administrative Assistant/Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, vendors, and callers, providing professional and courteous customer service while supporting the daily administrative operations of the organization. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of People and Corporate Services, this role is responsible for managing front desk and reception activities such as, answering and directing telephone calls, greeting visitors, handling correspondence, maintaining records, and assisting with general office administration for all internal departments within Claystone. This individual will help create a positive and welcoming environment while ensuring efficient communication and organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities and Activities:
- Manage front desk operations and serve as the first point of contact for visitors, callers, and general inquires.
- Provide administrative support to multiple departments, including document preparation, correspondence, and meeting coordination.
- Maintain accurate records, filing systems, and confidential information in accordance with organizational standards.
- Coordinate mail, courier services, visitor access, and other office administrative functions.
- Support departmental projects, initiatives, and day-to-day administrative processes while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in reception, administration, or customer service.
- Strong communication, customer service, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's Licence required.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
