Job Description
As the Shop Technician Level 1 you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in enhancing the operational efficiency of our facility and equipment maintenance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Maintain the upkeep of the facility and yard.
- Utilizing SiteDocs daily to complete all required forms
- Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist in the inspection, repair, and maintenance of all RCD related equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance and repairs of RCD equipment
- Assist in the shipping and receiving of MPD/RCD equipment.
- Assist in Receiving on orders from vendors
- Deliver and/or pick up supplies from vendors.
- Inspect all RCD equipment used and perform preventive maintenance checks and service.
- Maintain company issued tools and develop knowledge and skill in their use.
- Assist Shop Foreman with day-to-day tasks as required.
- Assist Operations team with RCD equipment maintenance as required.
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years’ experience working in a shop environment.
- Mechanically inclined and able to implement mechanical knowledge and skills.
- Required Certifications:
- Valid drivers license with clean drivers abstract
- First Aid
- Fall arrest
- Forklift
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of maintenance processes and procedures, mechanical tools and equipment
- Able to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines requiring minimal supervision.
- Organized, dependable and action orientated.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel).
