About the Role
We're looking for the creative force behind our content - a videographer and editor who lives and breathes short-form video. You'll be the one walking into the office with bold ideas, capturing them on camera, and cutting them into scroll-stopping content. You won't need to be the on-camera face (we bring in and rotate talent for that) - your job is to make everyone around you look great and turn everyday business moments into content that performs. You'll also work directly with our brokers to help them build their own personal brands. This is a self-directed role: you'll report straight to leadership and own the content engine end to end.
What You'll Do
- Pitch creative, trend-driven video concepts - the "crazy ideas" we'd never think of
- Film short-form video around the office, at events, meetings, training sessions, and community initiatives
- Edit fast, high-quality video with hooks, captions, graphics, music, and strong calls to action (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, etc.)
- Direct on-camera talent, brokers, and leadership so they're comfortable and look their best
- Coach individual brokers and help them build personal brands with content tailored to them
- Repurpose one shoot into multiple platform-specific assets for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- Work directly with leadership to plan weekly content ideas and a posting schedule
- Stay ahead of social trends and bring new formats to the table
What We're Looking For
- Strong videography and editing skills - this is the core of the role
- A genuine idea person who's always thinking in content
- A portfolio or social accounts showing short-form video you personally shot and edited (required)
- Comfortable directing people on camera and drawing out their personality
- A clear sense of what performs on each platform
- Organized, dependable, and able to run with an idea independently - you'll own this without a department behind you
Why Choose BIG?
- Competitive Salary + Performance Bonus: $60,000–$75,000 based on experience, plus performance bonuses (up to ~$12,000/year) and spot bonuses for content that goes viral.
- On-Site & Creative: This is a hands-on, in-office and in-the-field role - where the content actually happens - with flexibility to edit on your own schedule.
- Office Location: Office is located at Unit 106-1055 Canadian Place, Mississauga, near major highways and transit hubs.
- Comprehensive Benefits: Benefit plans including dental, extended health, and vision care also available.
- Career Growth: Access ongoing training, innovative tools, and a path to All-Star recognition in an award-winning environment.
- Vibrant Culture: Join a fun, inclusive team with team events, recognition programs, and a passion for innovation.
- Creative Freedom: Own the content engine end to end, backed by our trusted brand, technology, and 30+ insurance partners.
As our Creative Videographer & Content Producer at BIG, you'll shape how a fast-growing, award-winning brokerage shows up online - and help our people and brokers build brands that stand out. Ready to make a BIG impact? Apply now!
