Position Overview
As Groups Coordinator, you share a passion for service excellence and infuse enthusiasm into everything you do. You will be the primary point of contact for resort guest groups (8 or more). From initial inquiries to formalizing bookings for golf, dining and rooms, to assisting whit orchestrating and expediting the check-in/check-out process and assuring that our guests needs are met and their expectations exceeded through the delivery of a unique, world-class luxury experience.

Preferred
qualifications and skills:
- - Minimum 2 years’ experience in Hospitality / Guest
Services
- - Degree or Diploma in Hotel/Hospitality Management
or related discipline an asset
- - Dynamic, enthusiastic, and innovative leader who
thrives under pressure
- - Skilled in service recovery, consistent guest
follow up and follow through
- - Proven time management skills with a strength for
multitasking
- - Organized, self-motivated, and goal oriented
- - Highest level of attention to detail as it relates
to daily tasks
- - A thorough understanding of the structure of the
tourism and travel industry
- - Knowledge of Cabot / Inverness / Cape Breton an
asset
- - Computer skills including Microsoft Office
Requirements of the role you
should be aware of:
- Based on the nature of our business and the service we provide to our guests, to work with us, you must consent to a criminal background check as a condition of employment and an additional criminal background check every two years.
- As a seasonal resort business, you can anticipate a schedule that will involve day, evening, night, and weekend work.
- Based on the nature of this position, you would experience long periods of guest interactions. - There may be interactions with patrons who are impaired. - There are periods of time where you are standing, waiting for guests to arrive. - Ability to spend long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing, kneeling, reaching, or sweeping - To ensure guest satisfaction, high-pressure decision-making can happen on occasion. - Work outdoors for several hours in varying environmental conditions such as heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind. - There is a sedentary part to this role that involves sitting for long periods with computer work.
