Schedule: Rotating 12-Hour Shifts – Days & Afternoons
Hourly Rate: Approximately $50.20/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Millwright / Maintenance Millwright to join a large industrial manufacturing operation in Kenora, Ontario.
This is a hands-on maintenance position responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, installing, and improving mechanical equipment throughout the facility. The successful candidate will work closely with maintenance and operations teams to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support safe and efficient production.
This opportunity is well suited to a licensed Millwright who enjoys working in a heavy industrial environment and has strong mechanical troubleshooting capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and production equipment.
- Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment problems.
- Repair and replace components including: Bearings, Gearboxes, Pumps, Motors, Conveyors, Chains and sprockets, Shafts and couplings, Valves, Hydraulic and pneumatic components
- Install, dismantle, align, and commission machinery and equipment.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Perform equipment alignment, rigging, assembly, and installation work.
- Complete welding, cutting, and basic fabrication when required.
- Identify recurring equipment failures and recommend improvements to increase reliability.
- Support planned shutdowns, equipment upgrades, and maintenance projects.
- Work closely with production personnel to troubleshoot equipment issues and restore operations safely.
- Complete maintenance work orders and required documentation.
- Maintain tools, work areas, and equipment in a safe and organized condition.
- Follow all safety procedures, operating standards, and maintenance practices.
Qualifications
- Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification or recognized Millwright trade qualification strongly preferred.
- Previous industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing, forestry, pulp and paper, sawmill, mining, processing, or similarly heavy industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with: Conveyors and material-handling systems, Bearings and power transmission equipment, Gearboxes and pumps, Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic systems, Industrial machinery and rotating equipment
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, blueprints, and equipment schematics.
- Welding and fabrication experience considered an asset.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
Shift Schedule
This position operates on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule covering days and afternoons.
Candidates must be comfortable working within a continuous industrial operation where maintenance requirements may include scheduled shutdowns, overtime, and emergency equipment repairs.
