Position Summary
The Millwright is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and alignment of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. This role performs preventive and predictive maintenance activities, diagnoses mechanical issues, and works collaboratively with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance. The Millwright utilizes precision measuring instruments, technical drawings, and maintenance procedures to install, inspect, rebuild, and maintain equipment while adhering to all company safety policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.
Primary Responsibility

Read blueprints, layouts, diagrams, and technical manuals to determine installation, maintenance, and repair procedures.

Level and align equipment such as compressors, turbines, paper machines, centrifuges, and pumps.

Perform preventive maintenance on motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and other mechanical systems.
Qualifications

Knowledge of reverse alignment (where required), different types of metals, different types of bearings, mechanical seals, tandem seals, compression packing, multi-stage pumps, vertical pumps, different types of drive coupling, cooling tower fan units, gearboxes and agitators, gas turbines (where applicable) steam turbines, centrifugal compressor, reciprocal compressor, machine shop equipment, hydraulic reading and IRD reading
Physical Requirements
Selected candidates must be able to complete the following physical functions including but not limited to climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and other repetitive motions with or without a reasonable accommodation.
