Based in the Child, Youth and Emerging Adult Program, the donor funded Cundill Centre is a vibrant clinical research Centre dedicated to understanding and addressing child and youth depression. The Cundill Centre is developing best practices for the screening, prevention and treatment of child and youth depression, revolutionizing research, care and knowledge exchange in the field by addressing key evidence gaps. To achieve this goal, the Centre involves a large network of national and international scientists, clinicians and experts working in collaboration with youth, families and key stakeholders.
We are seeking a part-time contract (12 months) Research Analyst to support the implementation of the Thriving Minds evaluation. The Labatt Family Thriving Minds Program is a collaborative child and youth mental health initiative focused on strengthening access, coordination, and integration across hospital and community-based mental health and substance use services. The Thriving Minds evaluation is designed to generate practical, timely, and equity-informed evidence to support implementation, continuous quality improvement, and system learning.
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Cundill Centre Research Operations Manager and working closely with the Senior Project Manager and Senior Evaluation Consultant of Thriving Minds, the Research Analyst will work closely with evaluation, clinical, operational, research, and community partners to coordinate evaluation activities, support participant recruitment and engagement, manage data collection processes, and contribute to the analysis and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative data. The successful candidate will also bring strong foundational research skills, excellent organization and communication abilities, and an emerging evaluation lens. They will be comfortable working in dynamic environments, engaging respectfully with diverse stakeholders, and contributing to work that is ethical, culturally responsive, equity-oriented, and useful to decision-making. The candidate may also be required to assist with other administrative duties as necessary. The individual will support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork, and complies with all applicable CAMH policies and regulatory and legislative requirements. This position is primarily located at 80 Workman Way.
Qualifications
- The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, public health, social sciences, health services research, evaluation, or a related discipline, combined with at least one (1) year of relevant research, evaluation, clinical research, or health system experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Foundational knowledge of research and/or evaluation methods, including survey design, qualitative interviews or focus groups, and basic quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Experience supporting participant recruitment, consent, scheduling, follow-up, and participant-facing communication.
- Experience developing or supporting data collection tools such as surveys, interview guides, recruitment materials, consent forms, or tracking tools.
- Experience with data entry, data cleaning, database management, documentation, and quality assurance.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing timelines and maintain accurate records.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear materials for different audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including youth, families/caregivers, clinicians, service providers, researchers, community partners, and leadership teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to health equity, anti-racism, cultural humility, accessibility, and ethical engagement with diverse communities.
- Ability to work independently, exercise initiative and sound judgment, and adapt to evolving project needs.
- Experience in mental health and/or substance use research, evaluation, service delivery, quality improvement, or health system planning.
- Experience working in child and youth mental health, hospital-community partnerships, coordinated access, integrated care, or community-based mental health settings.
- Experience with equity-oriented, community-based, participatory, developmental, utilization-focused, or mixed-methods evaluation approaches.
- Familiarity with REDCap, Qualtrics, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams/SharePoint, SPSS, R, SAS, Stata, NVivo, Dedoose, MAXQDA, or similar software.
- Experience preparing accessible, plain-language, youth- and family-friendly, or inclusive communication materials.
- Experience supporting REB submissions, study documentation, privacy processes, or data governance requirements.
- Bilingualism and/or proficiency in a second language is an asset.

Salary Range: $27.95 - $37.28 per hour
