Canadian Energy Services, the drilling fluids division of CES Energy Solutions, is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and highly organized individual to fill the position of Sourcing Analyst. This full time, diverse position is located in Calgary, AB and reports directly to the Sourcing and Logistics Manager. The ideal candidate will also have a willingness to work in a fast-paced oil and gas supply chain environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Support the procurement groups with their sourcing requirements, including supplier identification, pricing, RFQs, and other procurement initiatives
- Identify, qualify, and develop new domestic suppliers based on cost, quality, capacity, and service.
- Prepare and issue RFQs, review supplier quotations, and develop detailed pricing comparisons.
- Maintain supplier pricing, lead times, payment terms, product information, and commercial data.
- Support supplier negotiations and identify cost-saving and cost-avoidance opportunities.
- Analyze total landed cost, including product pricing, freight, packaging, surcharges, and other applicable costs.
- Monitor market and commodity pricing and provide updates on relevant cost trends.
- Work with internal teams to support inventory requirements, demand planning, and supply continuity.
- Coordinate with Logistics and suppliers on transportation, delivery schedules, and supply issues.
- Monitor supplier performance and follow up on pricing, quality, delivery, and service concerns.
- Maintain sourcing databases, spend information, supplier documentation, and KPI reporting.
- Support supplier onboarding, due diligence, compliance requirements, and other sourcing projects as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint for data analysis, reporting, and presentations.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Working experience in the supply chain field is an asset.
Skillset:
- Strong in Excel and Power BI software.
- You have strong analytical, planning, and organization skills.
- You possess experience in continuous improvement and are highly detail oriented.
- Exhibits strong personal values, integrity, and solid business acumen.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams and ERP system experience is considered an asset.
