Overview
General Labourer duties including yard maintenance, grass cutting and other general tasks. This is a 6-month term position.
Responsibilities
- Yard maintenance, grass cutting, trimming, sweeping, clean-up, weed spraying and snow removal.
- Inspect, repair and store electrical cable and air hoses.
- Receive, store and issue material and supplies to projects.
- Navigate through our online warehouse system
- Load and unload supplies material, places incoming supplies on shelves or in assigned areas, ability to climb ladders to stock shelves, keep warehouse facility in an orderly and safe fashion.
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, or other containers.
- Stack or assemble materials into bundles and bands bundles together using banding machine and clincher.
- Lifts heavy objects by hand or using power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment, using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds
- Shovels loose materials, such as gravel, metals, plastics, or chemicals, into things such as wheelbarrows, scrap trucks, or barrels
- Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules.
- Performs other duties as required
- Help with all general labour requirements including yard maintenance throughout the year.
Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Valid Driver’s licence
- Ability to lift up to 50 lb
- Ability to work in outdoor environment
