IME Intake Coordinator – Remote, ON
FOCUS Assessments looking for Full-time, working remotely (may be required on site in Kitchener from time to time for meetings or training).
Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to Manager unless otherwise specified.
Salary Range: $52,000–$57,000 per year
Specific Responsibilities:
- Respond to incoming communications from customers within client Service Level timelines
- Retrieve Referral Information and Input data into Client Data Management system and/or Client Referral Software
- Review medical files and request missing information where applicable, ensuring adequate follow up where necessary
- Scheduling Assessments (Independent Medical Evaluations)
- Communicate with all necessary parties and process same day issues, cancellations and no shows, including direct reschedules.
- Documenting all communication between parties, ensuring it is clear, concise and comprehensive
- Respond to requests from lawyers, insurance adjusters, disability case managers, and employers, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups, which includes managing and processing all requests made for medical file production and communicating with necessary participants regarding any legal proceedings
- May be required to supervise and train support staff under the direction of the manager
Knowledge Skills and Attributes Required
- Knowledge of the Rehabilitation and Independent Medical Evaluation (IME) sector
- Healthcare professional or healthcare background preferred but not mandatory (kinesiology)
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking and problem solving skills
- Customer service experience required, ideally in the service sector
- Excellent spoken and written manner
- Computer literacy (Windows, Microsoft office, Adobe)
- Ability to adapt to use of multiple databases
- Ability to communicate well internally and externally
