Original job description
Role Overview: This position involves providing courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery of packages on an assigned route, ensuring shipments conform to service standards, and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities: Safely operating a vehicle, planning efficient routes, inspecting packages, maintaining security, and accurately reporting stop counts and missorts.
Additionally, the role includes seeking new business opportunities, ensuring proper labeling and paperwork, operating computerized tracking systems, and assisting with loading/unloading packages as needed.
Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with equipment.
Required skills include excellent customer service, good communication, time management, multitasking, and the ability to work under pressure. Bilingualism (English and French) is preferred.
Knowledge of courier operations and Customs regulations is an asset. Candidates must pass driver assessments and demonstrate proficiency in safety and operational procedures.
