Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Technology Architect to lead the design, development, implementation, and management of technical architectures within a large, distributed, cross-platform environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining architecture across hardware, software, databases, communications, middleware, and security technologies. A key focus of this role will be Zero Trust architecture, Layer 7/API gateway technologies, and IT security strategy and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, recommend, implement, and manage enterprise-level technical architectures across complex, distributed environments.
- Design secure systems and architectures aligned with Zero Trust principles and security best practices.
- Provide architecture leadership for CA Gateway and other Layer 7 gateway technologies.
- Develop and support IT security strategies, architecture standards, governance frameworks, and technology controls.
- Assess business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and maintainable architecture solutions.
- Define appropriate hardware, software, database, middleware, communications, and infrastructure environments for enterprise applications.
- Lead technical architecture activities across multiple platforms, operating systems, database technologies, environments, and communications protocols.
- Design and document conceptual, logical, and physical architecture models, processes, and data models.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the design, development, implementation, and integration of enterprise applications and systems.
- Evaluate system performance, scalability, availability, security, and integration requirements across different technology environments.
- Provide architectural guidance related to middleware, gateways, APIs, application integrations, and enterprise services.
- Develop enterprise architecture deliverables, including architecture models, standards, roadmaps, and supporting documentation.
- Apply structured methodologies and architectural practices throughout the solution design and implementation lifecycle.
- Design and support processes aligned with ITIL methodologies, providing guidance and direction to technical teams.
- Translate business requirements into technical architecture and reporting requirements.
- Perform systems analysis and design within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, security practices, and architectural approaches and recommend appropriate adoption strategies.
- Collaborate with business, security, infrastructure, application, and technology stakeholders to ensure solutions align with organizational standards and objectives.
- Provide technical leadership, recommendations, and architectural direction to project and delivery teams.
