About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and adaptable HR Business Partner to support our Canadian and US colleagues. This is a varied role that combines hands-on local HR operations, local office management, and business partnering support for two senior executives. The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between strategic people topics and operational detail, bringing sound judgement, strong organisation, and a practical, service-oriented approach.
As part of a global People Team, this role will work closely with the CHRO and colleagues across regions to ensure employees and leaders in Canada and the US receive consistent, high-quality HR support while also reflecting local employment practices, workplace expectations, and office needs.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Operations and Employee Support
Support core HR processes including onboarding, employee changes, absence management, leavers, documentation, and maintenance of HR systems and records.
Coordinate with payroll, benefits, finance, IT, and other internal teams to ensure smooth employee lifecycle processes.
Business Partnering
Support leaders with organisational changes, workforce planning, employee relations, engagement, performance, talent, and team effectiveness topics.
Use people data, feedback, and local insight to help leaders identify risks, opportunities, and practical solutions.
Local Office Management
Coordinate office supplies, vendors, facilities requests, local events, and practical workplace requirements.
Support health, safety, and workplace procedures locally, working with relevant internal and external partners as needed.
What we're looking for:
Exposure to employee relations, onboarding, performance processes, HR systems, benefits, or payroll coordination would be beneficial.
Experience in an international, scaling, SaaS, technology, or multi-site business would be an advantage.
Relevant HR qualification, degree, or equivalent practical experience is desirable.
Good working knowledge of Canadian and US HR practices, with the ability to know when to seek specialist advice.
Ability to switch between strategic support and operational delivery, staying calm and effective when priorities change.
Comfortable working independently in Canada while supporting colleagues across Canada and the US, and staying well connected to a London-based CHRO and global team.
Relationship-led, credible, and able to build trust with employees, managers, senior leaders, and global HR colleagues.
